TTC list for the week of 7/25/11

Hello Ladies!
How was your week? I hope everyone is able to enjoy the sunshine at least a little :)

I am almost 2 weeks post surgery to remove my ectopic pregnancy. I'm anxious to see when my cycles return. My Ob/Gyn said to wait 6 weeks to TTC to let my body heal. DH and I are back to being very careful.
On Monday I have a Hida Scan to check my gallbladder, which has been bugging me. So its possible that I will need yet another surgery. So I won't actually be able to start TTC again until after that and I check in with my WLS surgeon. I'm hoping he will give me the green light after my test and/or gallbladder surgery! I will be closing in on my one year surgiversary from my Lapband to VSG revision in a couple months! Its crazy how fast time flies!

Some common terms:

TTC – trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN – big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD – the day of your menstrual cycle
O – ovulation
DPO – days past ovulation
LP – luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF – aunt flow ( your period)
PG – pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE – reproductive endocrinologist
OPK – ovulation prediction kit
CL – coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met – metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD – baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD – doing the deed
IUI – inter uterine insemination
IVF – in vitro fertilization
PCOS – polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS – pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW – two week wait…time from ovulation until you can test for pg

 you can add me too! hee hee! i'm officially off the pill as of today! so excited! i have pcos but i'm not currently on any medication. i'm seeing my RE soon so that my change. this is my first time trying. this would be my first pregnancy.

Back to cd 2 here.  Guess it was a bust again this cycle.  Going to order the clomid today and start it tomorrow, I am supposed to take it cd 5-9 but gonna try cd3-7 instead.  Hoping it may bring my ovulation a little sooner than cd 20-22.  Any intakes on this, when do you gals "o" if taking clomid and what cycle days do you take it.  I take 100mg of clomid each day for the 5 days.  Just wondering if this small adjustment makes a difference or not.

I've been taking 150mg of clomid on days 3-7 and O'ing on CD14-15 for the past 3 mos.  Prior to clomid, i was O'ing anywhere from cd14-18.  That was fun trying to schedule inseminations with local donors when the O was such a wildly moving target.
