Question to the ladies with a skin "apron" left over from surgery
I'm only in my 10th week so I know I have a long way to go but I was wondering when/if your baby bump started to look like a baby bump and not just an ever expanding hangly-dangly apron of skin. I would like to enjoy my pregnancy body but am afraid I'm just going to feel like the fat blob that I formerly was if I can't get a nice round shape going on...
I finally popped with a true bump around 12-13 weeks. No one knew I was pregnant from the front or back, only at a profile did I look pregnant. After 140lb loss, and dropping from a size 22/24W to a size 2, I still had this tiny, little fat roll on my lower abdomen that I couldn't get rid of no matter what I did exercise-wise. I had managed to shrink it up nicely, and it didn't hang over. Now, that I'm a little over 6 months out, my bump is extremely obvious, but that little fat roll/skin has dropped more and of course the weight gain is all going back to my belly so I know some of my weight gain is right back in my lower abdomen. Admittedly, I am not doing any type of working out, exercise, nothing so it's my fault that it's come back. I know I'll lose it, but it irritates the snot out of me.
I'm super short-waisted as well so I'm carrying her super high, so that lower "fat roll" is extremely obvious now when I'm naked. I kind of have this separate belly from the obvious bump.
It'll happen, just give it time. I had forgotten how much a big belly gets in the way of doing normal, every day tasks.

I has an apron and was wearing a size two or four.I started showing about 12 weeks and you could tell from front but not back.I had a round belly but by 16 weeks they were streaching out all my lose skin but I had two.I looked pregnant far more this time then the first time I ever was 8 years ago and I was 165 then.
I wish I could post naked pictures on here...there is no shame in my game. I have a nicely rouded upper baby belly but below midline it's basically a big fat flap that drives me crazy. I can hear it flap when I walk blah, need to have it removed soon...not looking forward to that surgery.
Any one brave enough to see my belly pm me! It will make you feel better about your own hahaa

22 weeks in this one. My little fat roll/extra skin hasn't effected the way my stomach looks. No one can see it in any of the clothes I wear. I do admit that the full panel maternity pants work so much better for me. The mid-rise and low -maternity pants cut my bump in 2, and I get a bump muffin top which is ridiculous looking. My body just isn't made for low rise pants even when I'm not pregnant.
I was a size 2/3 before pregnancy, and those jeans I have on in the picture are a size 6 Old Navy maternity pants. My hips have widened a bit, and they are getting snug in the rump, but honestly, I'm all belly and boobs thus far.
