First doctor's appointment....

So, I saw my OB this morning.  There is a little bean growing as it should it a sac....  I'm at 6 weeks 1 day.  I was disappointed that we couldn't see the heartbeat.  The doc wasn't worried about it.  Made another appointment next week to see if all is ok.  I'll remain on pins and needles until then, and then I'll remain on just the pins until I am well into my 2nd trimester!!

I'm continuing to keep this bean a secret from almost everyone.  I won't tell the kids because they were so upset with the last miscarriage.


When did you all first see your baby's heart on US??

Congrats ! ! !  We heard and saw the hb at about 7w4d transvaginal ultrasound.

You will be just fine...I know easier said then done.I feel you and understand but relax as much as you can.

Hubby and I said when it happens again we would wait 12 weeks to tell our son that most of the time is the safe point of a miscarriage.I mean if its going to happen because of bad pregnancy it happens by then most of the time.I was 8 weeks when I first seen it and could hear it really light.

With this baby I didn't get to hear the baby's heartbeat with a doppler until my appointment at 12 weeks, and didn't get to see it until I was 20 weeks for my "big" ultrasound.  It was a LOOOONG wait!

We saw the heartbeat at 7wks 2 days. I heard it on my home doppler at 10 weeks to the day. That thing was a lifesaver for my peace of mind! I rented one from babysheart.com for $20/month.

I was 7 weeks 6 days when we saw it on US.  We were first able to hear it on doppler at 16 weeks.....I had to get an US everytime because they couldn't hear it on doppler!  I am so happy for you!!!

Congrats on seeing your little bean! I'm 8 wks and heard the hb today for the first time.
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and hope you get to see and hear that little flutter! Hoping and praying for a healthy and happy pgnancy for you! HUGS!

Thanks again everyone!  I do have to say it was a relief not to see an empty sac this time.  I'm grateful that I get to have another US next week to look for the heartbeat and that we don't have to wait!!  That's one thing we're so lucky about here (in Austria)  US is routine with EVERY pre natal appointment!  Big change from when I had my daughter in the states!

OK...  taking a big breath and holding on till next Thursday.  I'll let ya'll know how it goes!
