Hi all!! I had to go for a growth scan to see how big my lil man is getting because according to my ob women who have a false positive for the downs syndrome tend to have smaller babies. I am 25weeks and 2days and the u/s lady said my lil man is measuring a bit on the small side at 1pound 9 oz. So I was just wondering what the rest of you have experienced?

My Lillian was on target the whole pregnancy they believed she was going to weigh in at 8lbs and she only came in at 6lbs 1oz. So you never know.
Wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy and baby !!!

My big man measured on the small end of normal at first, until about 30 wks, then he measured "average". They were predicting a 7 lb baby and he was 8.8lbs.

My twins were measuring average, they predicited 3 1/2 lbs at 30 wks (when they were born via emergency section) but ended up being only 2 1/2 lbs.

Don't put much faith in ultrasound measurements, they're just estimates.

I don't see how I went into premature labor one day shy of 25 weeks with my girls and one was 1pound 3 oz and the other was 1 pound 9oz and they were surprised to see both of them weighting that because they were twins. The said if it was just one they could of seen that weight. To be honest I think your fine but I'm not a doctor and most babies around this time way no more then 2 pounds.

May my Angles rest in peace.....
