Anyone do a "Baby Sprinkle"??
If your youngest is already school aged then I don't think it's inappropriate at all. I mean a shower or a sprinkle, regardless is essentially a party. It's not tacky to invite people to your kids' birthday party every year so I don't think this is much different. Besides they have the right to accept or decline your invite. If they come and are being entertained with food and things then it's okay to expect a gift comparable to what you're offering. Perhaps make it hors d'oevres and refreshments if it's just a "sprinkle" and then people might not feel pressured to purchase extravagant gifts and you won't be burdened with a very costly party? Something to think about :) Hope this helps. I'm having a full on shower. My last kid is 10 and I never had one, so I'm being greedy this time!!
