When.....

When do I need to have my bag packed by.....I don't have a lot of clothes so those may truly be a grab and go type of thing.

What should be in my bag? I know this question has been asked many many times on here, but I'm asking again!

When does the car seat need to be in the car? DW REALLY needs to clean out her car and we can't install the base until she does that! Just need to know how hard to push her!

I have 2 outfits ready for the baby (depending on her size) and a blanket. Should I be packing this in her diaper bag or just one bag for all of us?

Do I need to bring an extra bag to take all the free stuff home?

I know I have some time, but I'm a planner/list maker. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!

I packed my favorite shampoo and soap...my hair brush and bandanna. I wore that thing all wee****il they took me to the ER...
The flowers and free stuff was overwhelming. I had my husband and mom take a load home one visit before Logan and I went home.
I also brought my boppy pillow, movies, music (ipod) and snacks! When they admitted me; it was 1 week before my due date and I had no clue when I was going to deliver...my blood pressure was out of control...
Oh, and after Logan was born...his blanket was sent home for the dog to smell him- she fell in love with him before he came home...
Happy Week~

I plan to send DW home with as much as possible that the baby wears because we have 3 dogs!!! We're unsure how to enter the house with her when we bring her home! So far I'm going to come in first and say hi to them (since it will have been a few days) and let them outside. Then introduce them to the baby one at a time. Does that sound stupid?

Sounds like you're nesting! I would do it ASAP so that you feel better and less anxious, especially if it's bothering you. Usually I pack everything in one bag, because they'll give you free diaper bags at the hospital. Even though they have blankets and things there, if you plan on having a special blanket I would bring that too. My daughter was born really small and needed preemie clothes, so anything at the hospital fell off her. I brought plenty of onesies and things that would fit for her and also for my twins. I liked having them in onsies instead of those grubby T-shirts they give you at th hospital. It's just a personal preference. As for you, I would bring stuff you don't care about- It might get nasty. I brought some of DH's old pajama bottoms with T-shirts. Comfort is really nice after. Also, pack ssome snacks. When I finally got to my room after I had my daughter the cafeteria was closed and of course I had not eaten in more than 24 hours so I was starving, and they only had this old stale sandwhich! For my second pregnancy I brought plenty of snacks I could eat and was really grateful to have them. Good luck with the nesting! It's a good thing!

I would pack now. I packed comfy pants & t-shirts, socks, slippers, undies (but I just ended up wearing the mesh ones in which I loved, toiletries (not all hospitals provide them), chapstick, nursing pads, my going home outfit and shoes, couple baby outfits, blanket, boppy, baby nail clippers (my babies had long nails).

Since I was in for 4 & 5 days I brought my own pillow, laptop w/netflix, phone and some magazines.

I would also put the car seat in now to makes sure it fits.

Very soon!

The more you get done now, the less to do later.  I'd either get DW to clean out the car or go out and do it myself, if I were you.

Personally, I think 1-2 coming home outfits for the baby should be sufficient.  You'll presumably only be there a few days, and the hospital will have some clothes for her while she's there - but I agree w/one of the previous posters that onsies are much better than the t-shirts.  Because it's hot, I'd only take a light blanket and socks or jammies w/footies and maybe a hat...the hospital will also give you a few of the thin flannel ones blankets.

For yourself, take snacks for you and/or DW, lotion and chapstick, socks, soap/shampoo, etc, a comfy pair of sweats or long night gown so you're not moving around w/your behind hanging out...plus whatever entertainment etc you and/or DW will need.

You're almost there!

Haha!! I pitch a fit when she tries to clean my car so I won't be cleaning hers! I thought about it though!! She's a paramedic and is posted right by her car so she keeps all kinds of work stuff in there and I'd probably throw something important away!
