help
I had my baby a year ago. I'm assuming you want to know about fills/unfills. My advice is to keep a fill in so that you don't gain too much during pregnancy. I did that and gained about 35lbs. But after had to have in unfilled completely due to severe water retention and I couldn't even keep liquids down. That has contributed to me gaining some weight. But pregnancy wise, it was a great healthy pregnancy. There were some days that the band would be much tighter than others, and as the baby got bigger, the band got tighter. The other thing is that I had to get chewable prenatals cause I wasn't able to swallow pills. Target has some gummy prenatals that are good.

thanks so much for your feed back. My dr has so far advised me to keep my current fill because i have been doing fine. If something should come up and baby was not growing properly or i could not eat or i had morning sickness than he might consider taking out some fluid. what was your water retention from the fill or just post pregnancy?
thanks again. I cant believe 79 views but only 1 repsonse so i really appreciate your help.

I have a 2 year old band baby. Had a little fill removed during my morning sickness and then had it put back once it was over. Gained 22 lbs but went home from the hospital only up 4 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight.
A lot of us experience port-site discomfort, especially later during the pregnancy, due to stretching abdominal muscles. Some of us feel tighter when we start retaining fluid due to the pregnancy because that fluid is retained in all of your tissues (even your stomach), even though it might feel like it is all in your ankles.
I didn't really feel tighter, but toward the end I did feel like my abdomen was already so crowded that there just wasn't much room to add food.
If you have nausea, be sure to get a prescription right away so that you're not vomiting as it isn't good for the band.
PS - you're getting a lot of views because your subject line is vague. You would probably get more responses from band mommies if you post something like "need advice from those who have been pregnant with a band." You gotta target your audience

Great thanks for all the info and yes your right I should have posted the sujbect differently. Hope my port site wont cause me too much trouble because I already have site soreness just due to positioning in that area. Could you feel your port even more when you were pregnant from the outside of your stomach?

I just had my little girl almost 7 weeks ago. I kept all of my fluid in my band during pregnancy, but was extremely tight. I lost weight during pregnancy. My restriction continued to increase after delivery and I just went this week to get 1 cc taken out. I had a completely uncomplicated pregnancy (other than being too tight) and I still have quite a bit of weight to lose.
