Sad sad day

I had an ultrasound today. It was most definitely (they can't know for sure unless surgery is performed) ectopic. The ultrasound showed what most likely happened was that I ovulated from my left ovary but my right fallopian tube caught it (I didn't even know that was possible until today!) There was a 7 mm mass in what looked like the front part of the tube. I have been having quite a bit of pain near my right ovary for the past week and its been getting more intense daily. It wasn't a cyst as it was dense and not fluid filled. Of course I was hoping it was a cyst with the PCOS and everything.

I was given 2 shots of methotrexate, one in each butt cheek. I am feeling such a terrible mixture of emotions and going through the shots was just hell. It was like slow motion. I feel so guilty but know in my heart I made the only decision that I could have. And it wasn't a decision I had to make. My doctor insisted. I didn't even have to say yes.

I go back on Sat. to check my hgc levels, and again on Wed. They have to have dropped at least 15% between Sat. and Wed. or I will need further treatment. Not sure if that means another shot or what?

This is SO MUCH HARDER THAN I IMAGINED it would be :'(

I'm so sorry for your loss! Our bodies certainly work in mysterious ways! I was really hoping you'd be back with good news! Here's hoping that you recover quickly and end up with a healthy pregnancy again soon!
