Ugh......UTI Infection!

OK well as most of you know I lost my baby girls two months ago.The reason I had gone into pre-mature labor was because I had a UTI infection e coli.How I got it don't know and try not to think how and why.Also a most of you know I have tried going on with the lose of my daughter pretty well.Well last week I got sick flu systems and fever so I went to Urgent care and they discover I have another UTI infection Klebsiella well back on Meds.

I'm sitting here asking myself why am I getting these infections never never had one.All I'm trying to do is move on get healthy and try and have another baby.Is GOD telling me no or what.Is he telling me its to soon.It had taken us six years to get pregnant then to lose them then now all these infection what gives can I have a break please.

Oh sweet Jen... it's not you!  sometimes, this stuff just happens.  I absolutely do NOT think that God is telling you anything limiting at all.  Here's the thing... in my spiritual belief system, if you can thinking it and dream it, then that is God's way of sending you the message that what you dream about is yours for the taking, that you are deserving of the miracle.  Honey, if you and DH want more children, then you will get to have more children.  I know the loss you sufferred a couple of months ago was so tragic.  And the way I see it, this current UTI is your body's way of moving through and letting go of everything that is in your way of having your next healthy child.

I'm sorry. You've really gone through so much and I can't imagine how you feel. I would definately try to figure out what the deal is with the UTI infections, you'd think they'd say if something specific was causing it. All I can say is to keep trying to have babies if that's what you want to do. I believe that God knows how you feel and that when the time is just right, it will happen for you.

I went to Urgent care not feeling well.....I called OB today in seven days when meds are finished I go see him so he can get down to it and figure out why.I'm not giving up on babies for sure.I can honestly say I only wanted one more tell I knew I was having two.if my next one I only get one then who knows we may try for a third we will see how well the next one holds up.I couldn't put another baby to rest that i carried for 25 weeks seen and hold.

Your story really breaks my heart and I'm sorry about the current UTI. One thing I can say is that after my first pregnancy, while my son was a healthy baby, my body went into self-attack mode....within a month after my c-section, I had to have my gallbladder taken out (common from pg hormones), but then a week after that, I suffered a bile duct obstruction, which meant an ERCP procedure...well, my immune system was so shot, I got pancreatitis from that procedure and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I was in denial that all those things happened to me...me, who had never had surgery or been hospitalized my entire life!

Don't forget how hard pregnancy is on our bodies...your immune system has been compromised both from physical and emotional stress...give it a little time to recoup. I hope you feel better soon! Hugs!

I did the gallbladder thing with my son when I had him six weeks after and that was all I went through it wasn't fun so I feel for you having to go through all that its a lot.

This time it was the infection and lose of girls and emergency D&C with four bags of blood and anothe UTI infection just  to much for me.

I second everything Maryn said (couldn't say it better). 

Regarding the recurrent UTI...ask your PCP to send you to a urologist or nephrologist or whatever a dr is for females w/urinary problems.  See if they can find out why you keep getting the UTIs.  Four years ago - when I was 39 - I landed in the hospital having a kidney removed b/c of a birth defect in my kidney that reared its ugly head in a major way.  I told the nephrologist that I'd had a few UTIs in my life...and he said that it's very unusual for women to have multiple UTIs and that previous drs should have followed up on that.  It turns out that my 'UTIs' were not, in fact, UTIs at all, but infections in my kidney; the infection showed up in the urine samples, leading the drs to believe it was  UTI.

I'm not saying you have the same birth defect that I had (supposedly it's rare in women)...just that the recurrent UTIs - according to my nephrologist - are unusual and should be followed up on to see if they can determine a cause. 

I hope you get some answers...and praying for continued healing for you and your husband.

Thank you.........The first UTI I had was bladder related they know for sure.I go next  Wed after i finish meds and trust me i will get down to the end of this.I have never had them before and dont want anymore LOL.
