Scared I will gain to much weight during my pregnancy!
I started getting sick at about 12 week and I was so sick tell I hit 15 weeks realizing if I ate something small every two hours I wasn't feeling sick anymore. It will pass. Its hard to eat when nothing sounds and looks good but that baby needs food and lots of water.Get what you can down tell all the morning sickness passes if not ask your doctor about Zofran it will help with the morning sickness.
The nutrionist at the hosiptal put me on this diet, why 30 grams of carbs i'm not sure. Because everybody says that's what I need. I do eat alot of cheese, and I love the Activa yogurt but the other foods it's a chore to eat! I know at this point I don't need to worry about the carbs and how much weight I gain, but I just don't know what to do. My OB seems to think to that i'm trying to go into gestational diabetes early, so I don't know what my diet will be then. But lately if I eat to many carbs its like it spikes my sugar up to high and I feel bad then when it drops to fast I feel bad as well so I can't find that happy medium. Any other suggestions???
Yes, I test my sugar all the time and can tell when it starts to drop and I will test it then. My issue is, is that i'm absorbing my food to fast so that makes my sugar go up but then in an hour or so it's dropped right back down and gets low if I don't catch it. I just have started getting a headache when it starts to drop, but usually I just get dizzy. The endocrinologist told me that it is a side effect from Gastric Bypass but it's not normal. He said not alot of people get it, and I just happen to be one of those people. So the Maternal Fetal Specialist is going to try some medicine to help me absorb my food longer and stabilize my sugar.
It is VERY dangerous for you, and baby to limit self to 30g of carbs a day right now. It WILL cause ketosis, and here is some info on that for you.
