LapBand mommies
As you know I was super tight during my pregnancy and have lost a good bit of weight. I was hoping after delivery that I would loosen up some. I just seem to be getting worse and my baby is 4 weeks old now. Did any of you have trouble post partum? For the past 4 days, I have been able to do liquids only. Today, having trouble getting gatorade down. I've called the dr and waiting for him to call back.

You need a VERY slight deflation. It took me about 8 weeks to get better. The hormones, delivery, etc made me EXTREMELY TIGHT!
They could just out a twinge and it would make a world of difference. You really need to be eating more than liquids for weight loss, nutrients for breast feeding, also to help you heal, etc.

I wish i could help. i know your pain tho. I had restricition throughout my entire pregnancy and i was completely unfilled halfway through. After delivery I figured I would be able to eat more and be comfortable since i wasnt filled...NEGATIVE. Still have restriction and had an upper GI to see if anything was wrong. Everything is normal, band hasnt moved yet my body is "acting" as if there is restriction. Doctor says that as long as Im physically ok, no need to remove or even put fluid back in. So weird but i'm gonna roll with it for now. Hope you get the answers you are looking for.

My band was PERFECT before getting pregnant. I had lost 120 lbs in 8 months. In the hospital, after delivery (I had a C section) I had to be completely unfilled. I've had problems ever since. I am either too tight and can't keep much of anything down and then feel like I need to throw up all day long or I'm eating like crazy. I have ended up gaining weight. I am so upset with myself, I weight more right now than I did at 9 months pregnant! My point is that get just enough of an unfill to be able to eat, but try to not get too much taken out, you don't want to go through what I'm going through.
