How soon is too soon to POAS?

My period is due for Friday the 24th. I am not sure if I am pregnant or not. No symptoms anyways. I have been freaking out a little over 2 weeks now because Hubby and I didn't use protection and I am pretty sure I was ovulating around that time. Could I take it a few days earlier or does it really make a difference much? Our daughter will be 6 months old on July 8th. Yikes! We were wanting more children and I will cherish a new pregnancy no matter what but I am a little nervous about having a newborn and an almost 14 month old. I just don't want to rob Luciana's time to be "the baby," if this makes sense. I feel a tad bit guilty.

On another note my beautiful son turns 4 years old on Saturday the 25th! 4 years ago we were blessed with his adoption! This birthday we plan on taking him to the Indy Zoo with other family members to celebrate! He's so excited! I'll let you ladies know if he's going to be a big brother again by Friday.

I had a positive HPT at 10 day past ovulation with my son.

PEEEEE!  With my first I got a positive 5 days before my period.

I know a lotta women on this board LOVE to poas early.  However, I'm not one of those girls.  The emotional rollercoaster throughout this whole process is enough... the chances of a false negative are pretty significant.  If you read the paperwork in the stick kits, you'll find that a few days before AF is due, the accuracy of the test can drop as low as 50%.  I poas a few days early last month and got the bfn each time.  It really sucked!  So my vote is to poas the day you are due for your AF, but also know that you can get a false negative that day too.  Many women only get their BFP a couple of days after AF was due.


And holy cow... Luciana is 5-1/2 mos old already?  I remember when she was born.  Time sure flies...  Good luck!

With my second pregnancy, I poas at 3 days before I was supposed to start my period and it showed up positive.
