Breech position
Just out of curiosity, why is your doctor saying 34 weeks? Babies can turn right up until you begin active labor, and often do. Is the doctor suggesting you schedule a c section if the baby doesn't turn by then? I mean, I don't know your whole health history or anything, but that seems really premature to decide. In terms of turnIng the baby, you cam research baby spinning. That can really help turn him or her. I hope it goes well!
I am 35w2d and my little man is breech. My Dr says he won't turn because there literally isn't room for him to. We will be doing an ultrasound next Tuesday to verify position one more time and if he is still breech...scheduling a c-section. I have low fluid and the way he is positioned make it nearly impossible for him to turn. We shall see though. You still have plenty of time for your baby to turn! Good luck to you!
The baby could still turn on his/her own... My baby went from Transverse (sideways) to Breech when I was just past 37 wks. Apparently he is going to be my stubborn one although he did try turn back to sideways but it didn't work. My OB isn't comfortable manually turning him (although nothing medically is stopping him, he just doesn't want to risk anything). The website Spinningbabies.com is definitely a great place to go and check out, so I second that.
I will be having a scheduled C-Section on July 6th. I'm finally coming to terms with the news of that just due to all the healing involved but that's another story.
Good Luck!!
