Baking Soda Gender Test!

Has anyone heard about the baking soda gender test? I just read about it in another site. It says that if you put a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup and then pee on it, and if  it fizzles is a boy and if it doesn't its a girl. The "science" behind it is that the acidity on you urine makes the baking soda fizzle, and if you're pregnant with a boy is more acid.

I don't know, just curious about it and wanted to see if anyone has heard about it?

Wondering who wants to try it out and who knows the gender of their baby already!?
It sounds really cool!

I tried it when I was pregnant with my son. 1 tsp at the bottom of a cup + urine = no fizz. So according to the old wives tale, he sould have been a girl.

I also tried one of those home gender prediciton kits and it was accurate at 12 wks.

I haven't heard of that one. It sounds fun to try. I did try the bump's predictor and it said Liam was a girl.. also the way I carried him said he was a girl as well. The only thing that was kind of correct was the old wives tale of a girl stealing your beauty and a boy making your skin clearer.

I heard about the girls steaking ur beauty too but I had three girls and I was always told I looked great (not just people saying that lol)
I do have to admit that my skin was at its best!
So I think everything depends on the individual!
I just think its all fun till you know 100%

I did it. It half fizzed, half of it didn't react. I was convinced I was having twins LOL. Luckily, only one baby. My anatomy scan said 60-70% girl, I'm not convinced as the u/s just doesn't look like a girl, and well, I'm just not feeling girl. Plus, I've had 2 other techs review my scan, and they both said "DON'T YOU DARE buy anything PIN****il you get another u/s".

I did the red cabbage gender test as well, and it was boy. My gut instinct says boy, my mother's gut feeling as been boy, as are all of my friends that are around me on a weekly basis. I've shown the u/s to several of my friends that recently (within 6 months) all delivered girls, and least to say, my girl u/s does NOT look like theirs at all. I get another u/s next Thursday so we'll see if we can get a good pic/peak and a definite.
