Eye problems anyone?

I am 19 weeks pregnant.  A few day ago I started to see a weird line in my vision on one side.  At first I thought I had a smudge on my glasses, but when I removed them to clean it off, it stayed in my line of sight.  I saw the eye doctor today and he looked at my eyes for quite a while then started grilling me about my blood pressure.  It has been really low throughout my pregnancy (like 99/60).  Unfortunately for me, I read enough to know that he was thinking pre-eclampsia.  He had the nurse take it today and I was sure that after all his questioning it was going to be through the roof.   However, even with the added stress of his concerns, it was only 124/83.  He confirmed that my OB checks my urine at every appointment and then seemed to let up a bit once he was sure that I had no protein in my urine and no high blood pressure.  He said that he could see some changes in my eye that would normally be a result of high blood pressure.  He then took pics of the inside of my eye and wants to see me back in a week.  He said it is nothing to be worried about right now, but that he wants to keep an eye on things.  Does he not realize that telling a pregnant woman not to worry is like telling a teenage boy not to think about boobs!?  I called my OB just to check on the "don't worry" aspect and they said it is probably nothing serious, just to follow up with the eye doc.  However, now that I'm all freaked out, this is of course all happening when we're leaving tomorrow for a week of camping, ugh, what timing!  So, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?  If so, what was the cause.  I'm quite confident that my BP is not a problem, but I'm wondering if something else might be.

I'm having the same issue!  It started in my right eye and I thought my glasses were dirty.  It now alternates eyes on daily basis.  I saw my eye doctor who ran every test available and concluded the structure of my eye is fine and that it may be related to my BP or blood sugar from the pregnancy.  I saw my OB, who stated both my BP and blood sugar were too low to affect my vision.  I went back to the eye doctor and he stated that hormones during pregnancy that are supposed to relax our muscles sometimes affects the muscles in the eye.  Instead of affected both at the same, it affects one eye at at time.

Nothing they can do but wait to see if it resolves once I have the baby.   It's rather annoying but since it's not harming the baby, neither doctor seems too concerned.

just because your bp is normal and blood sugar is normal, doesnt mean you still cant have issues. Dr's **** me off...eye dr following you for this is great! ask him questions, ask him what all the possible side effects can be with low bp...might be surprised.
Sugar being low, can also affect your vision, being dizzy, blood not getting where it needs to cuz its all going to the baby. I had the same issues with the vision and BP. After I had him, the "issues" corrected themselves. I would be worried, for the fact that if your BP drops to low or even your sugars, you can pass out. Point blank.

In my experience with myself, if bloodwork comes back and says its a couple of point from being "too high" or "too low". I will exhibit the effects of it. Dont sit quietly, we have to be diligent with our pregnancies and make sure you give your Dr's every sign and symptom that isnt "normal" for you. they still have to do alot of research as to how and what affects women AFTER having weightloss surgery.

Also rule of thumb, follow your instincts...I kept telling my OB that there was something "wrong" but all my blood work etc was fine, when Q was born, it wasnt right. He was telling my "mama instinct" there was something wrong and not to give up on finding the answer. Not trying to freak you out, but this is what happened to me. After your check up with eye dr, see if you still have that feeling of something wrong, if there is, start to document what you are doing what time it hits etc...then let your dr know and to really make sure your ok, ask to see the periontologist just to see if they can find anything out.

Good luck
