So...
Thanks Holly, thats what I was thinking about - ultrasound on the galbladder instead of the HIDA scan. My surgeon's office is always kinda nuts on Friday's and they are only there for a half day. I am going to wait until Monday to call. I am having a quantitative beta test today and again on Monday. So by Monday I will have a better idea of how things are looking.
Nikki,
Congrats! Breathe!
From my research, real life journey and several great doctors including my perinatologist & geneticist~
It is not the PCOS that will cause miscarriage. It is the insulin resistance which causes the drops in insulin levels, therefore; causing changes in hormones...
How are your insulin levels? Since surgery probably very well!
When I got pregnant with Logan it was a surprise but I was on Metfomin, an insulin stabilizing drug...which in return helped my hormones remain level and I had a safe/healthy pregnancy!
Then the argument popped up by some~ metformin is a drug...why be on it while pregnant. Simply, because I could not argue with science, data proved that the insulin stabilized and in return hormones did not drop. Plus, I did not develop GD!
You will be fine! WLS helps our PCOS and this is a sign of it= fertility & babies

Got my Beta back. It is only a 10.3 which my doctor said means very early pregnant. My cycles are long. So either I am barley pregnant, or am miscarrying. Hopefully the later! I'm thinking I got pregnant 2 weeks ago... the day I wasn't careful with the contraception. So 12 or 13 days ago? This is my hope so that the levels make sense. I will know for sure on Monday when I go in for a second beta. I sooooo hope and pray this little bean sticks!
Oh, and I've been on metformin for the past 6 months. I was on it for a year before I had my revision and went back on it a couple months after. It helps with weight loss because I do have IR. Didn't want that getting in the way of my weight loss! I am currently taking the max dose of 2,000 mg per day.

Ms. Newly Pregnant; I will keep you in my prayers. Rock on!
2,000 of Met is Normal; I have known some to be on 2500-3000 but no wls. I thought and my doctor that it was too much for me.
Man, you might have just hit my head of the nail; I wonder if I am insulin resistant
again. It has been 1 year since my surgery.
Thanks & Hugs
