I have a 19 year old, a 15 year old, a 5 year old and am due in 2 weeks.
My 5 year old will be closer to his baby brother I hope than the older two are to him. The very oldest was 14 when the 5 year old was born. And at first he was close to him. But now that he's off at university. Their relationship is nonexistant. The 15 year old has no patience for the 5 year old and will only deal with him in small doese then he wont bother with him. Teenagers :( I wish my 5 year old and this one were closer in age but I am hoping they are closer like I said. The only pro to having much older kids is occasionally you can get a babysitter. But for me I always worry if he's being watched right or if the older brother is too busy playing video games to really watch him the way I expect. I am hopig to convince my husband to let me have one more after this baby as this is 4th boy for us. And iof so Id like to try right away then im done ;) i swear really...:)

My oldest are twins and when I had Addison they were just 3. They adjusted well to Addison because they had each other. I had Abigail 1 day before Addison turned 1. Addison and Abigail get along SO much better then either of my twins do with Addison. If I were a lunatic and were to continue to have babies I would keep them as close together as I could! The kids are currently 6, 3 and 2 and I while it saddens me to know there will not be another tiny baby around, it is great to know that I am done with all things baby and no more hanging on to things for the next like another poster said.
Good luck!
Good luck!
My daughter and my twins are 25 months apart... The hubby and I liked having them close in age and decided to try and got pregnant first try so my last will be 15months younger then my twiins... I like how they all have someone to play with and that they are close. I like the 2year difference with my daughter and the boys, she is a big helper... I think you have the right idea with a 2.5-3 year difference...
