I know it's been asked 10,000 times but how far apart are your babies and what do you feel works best for you?

My next door neighbor is due any day and it's got the wheels turning. Amelia will be 13 months next week. I was thinking of TTC in the spring (when she is almost 2) but I dunno! lol

I know it will happen when it's meant to happen

Max & Sydnee are 18 months apart, Sydnee and this baby will be 15 months apart. I am happy I had them this close. Activities tend to be the same for both. The only con for me is having both in diapers at the same time because it gets expensive.

Good luck in what you decide!!!! Excited for you!!!

DO it now!!!

Sorry, haha.  Anyway, I know the next one isn't here yet, but we wanted them close so we can get the baby stage out of the way while I am already sleep deprived lol.  I think the pros are they will be good friends as they grow up.  I loved having a little sister and I want Sage to have that experience with a younger sibling.  I feel a little bad because it's though being the oldest child because a lot of pressure is put on just you, but I feel like it's harder to be an only child.  Russ is an only child and he hated it.

I think the cons will be them both driving around the same time (double heart attacks and car payments) and then both of them going to college back to back.  But we have a while to think about that.  Good luck Liz in whatever you chose!  Amelia would be a great big sister!!

My 1st to children are 2 years and 3 months apart (ages 12.5 and 10).  My last 2 children will be about 3 years and 3 months apart (my youngest will be 3 on July 25 and this baby is due Oct. 25).  My 1st 2 children are a boy and girl and they fight like cats and dogs.  My 2 sons (12.5 and 2 years old) get along great, but my daughter tends to get on my littlest ones nerves and he gets mad at her quickly (because she tries to control him and he's very independent).  Honestly, I love having the age gap between my oldest 2 children and these last 2 children!  My youngest child has been a dream and I've fully enjoyed every minute with him!  With my 1st 2 children being closer in age was harder for me.  I feel bad because I don't remember so much about my 2nd child as a young baby and toddler because I was overwhelmed raising 2 kids close in age!  I'm not sure if having that extra year in between my 2 youngest will be better or not.....I do know they both are boys, which could make a world of a difference!  I hope they are best buddies!

I have a friend that will have 3 children, 3 years and younger and I don't envy her a bit!  I can't imagine taking 2 so close in age to the stores and what not.....not to mention 3!

My son is 13, and Sprout is due in November. I was a single mom with Lil C for 9 years until marrying my husband. I knew I wanted to have a child with this man, but OMG to the changes in my body at the ripe age of 34 vs. 21.

My son has had to deal with a lot of transition in the last 3-5 years. And, last year when we started TTC, it was hell. Finally, Lil C has accepted that he will have a sibling, and that we can love both of them. It's been a wild ride.

I'm 98% sure this will be my last pregnancy, and my husband's only biological child even though he is 6 years younger than me. I'm not willing to be pregnant anymore.

I always like the age difference between my first 2 which was almost 5 years. My oldest was in school when I had the second. I did not have a lot of jealousy going on cause my baby got the attention during school and my oldest got it when he got home. Worked well. Then 12 years later along come Hayvann and hubby and I were like she will grow up all alone and thats not good. We talked and talked and figured no birth control and what happens happens and we will be happy. We figured one more would be perfect no problem. When they said twins I freaked out. I was like how will I take care of 3 babies? LOL. It is very hard and some days worse than others. When they all cry at one time I feel like a failure. Yet when they are all calm and playing its awesome. Hayvann likes to try to feed the babies and when they cry she tries to bounce them and all. Bad thing is that 3 of them are in diapers OUCH! Hubby is the only one who works so one paycheck lol. In the end I know its worth it and I would not change a thing I say life is short and having kids is an amazing gift and if you want another then go for it

My twins and my son are 23 months and 1 day apart. I was nervous about having 3 kids under 2 but it's turned out to be a WONDERFUL thing.

The girls absolutely love their brother, no jealousy whatsoever and they're old enough to help with some small tasks (bring me a diaper, play with the baby, throw away a diaper, etc).

As a bonus, once they're all past the baby/toddler phase I can get rid of all the baby gear/diapers/etc and be done with it. No need to hang on to items for the "next baby".

Thanks ladies!

I am thinking that we'll start TTC in the winter / spring, that would put the babies 2-1/2 - 3 years apart (god willing!). That's not too far apart, but far enough that I can breathe! lol

Matt and I are going to start trying in Jan or Feb because I need to have the baby before the end of 2013 for vacation/FMLA reasons. Maybe we will be pregnant at the same time! :)
