Weight, baby's position, etc.

Hi everyone,

Well, I'm down to the last 5 wks (pretty much) and was just wondering a few things.  I lost about 10lbs when I got PG (from about 222lbs to 209lbs) and am pretty much back to the same weight now that PG has progressed.  Do you think that I will really gain any more?  I mean, anything is possible and the baby was measuring at about 4lbs. 2 ozs about a week ago and doesn't appear to be any problems. (fingers crossed)

Also, James (the baby) seems to be laying sideways (upper belly) although he still can move around a bit and I do feel movement/ nudges in the lower belly as well.  Does anyone have any personal experience with any of your little ones?  My DD layed 'correctly' the whole time; normal vaginal delivery, etc.  Everything is going the way it should; no bleeding, Braxton Hicks (yet), placenta in a good spot, etc. except for his position.  Am I going to have to have a C/S?  I was rather hoping to avoid that unless absolutly (sp) necessary.

Also, if I have a C/S.... about when should I expect AF?  I have my DD vaginally so I know that for her.  Is it immediate or can it take weeks to kick in?

Thanks a bunch for any help & even if you didn't have any questions, for reading my post .

Hi

I don't know about gaining more weight but would think you would (James) would keep gaining until birth.

My last child had a transverse lie and only went head down after my waters broke in hospital.Bug is laying transverse aswell at my 28week u/s. They will be checking her size and lie at 35weeks.

Sorry I don't anymore answers

best wishes

Your baby can move hours and minutes before birth as you dilate and efface. If you have already had one healthy vaginal birth, I am confident this bug will move into position, too. DOn't worry ... If it makes you feel any better, this baby didnt turn from horizontal to verticle until week 35. :-)

My OB didn't mention anything about getting your PP period any differently from CS than vaginal. She did mention you have the PP bleeding abit longer sometimes. Something about the blood pools and builds around the cut and can encourage more bleeding. Mine isnt that bad. I am down to pantyliners and I had him on the 1st.
