Anyone get obese again after pregnancy??
Hi there,
I saw your other post on weight as well, and know this is heavy on your mind as it is a major concern for all of us. I mean, we were all obese once, and not everyone makes it to goal. No matter if you're a month out or seven years out - it's a struggle daily to make the right food choices, stay active and exercise, and use our tools the right way. Well, it is for me anyway, and I am seven years out.
The thing is, weight gain is neccesary and healthy during pregnancy. There are a lot of ways to gain appropriately, like increasing protiens and adding more carbs than you normally would - but they need to be healthy carbs.
Now, personally, with my first baby, I gained 23 pounds total. With this baby, at 38.5 weeks now, I have a total gain of 19 pounds (I have a toddler to run around after). WIth both girls, I gained like 9 lbs immediately, then lost it due to sickness, but I managed to find it again. :-) WIth my first daughter, I lost all of it but five lbs really quickly. I hope the same is true with this little one. But, if those five lbs hang on, it's okay because that's part of the sacrifice we make as mommas. Our bodies change after babies. I mean, if I told you how much money I spend on my TT and breast augmentations post weight loss and showed you what they look like NOW, after two babies?! Yikes. But, its a sacrifice I made to have a family.
Anyway, I wish you all the luck and good health in the world in your journey to have a family, and hope you keep coming back to the forum for support. :-) Take care.

I don't know where you stand with your weight right now, but seen you lost over 100lbs. I don't see where getting pregnant and gaining weight with a pregnancy would cause you to be become obese again after giving birth. Some women struggle to loose all the weight they gained during the pregnancy and some drop it quickly! I haven't read or seen someone that gained baby weight and never lost any of it and continued to gain more weight to put them in the obese catagory again. This would only happen if you didn't care about the food you put in your mouth before and after a pregnancy and let yourself get out of control! Try not to stress about the weight you will gain once you become pregnant! It's definately obtainable to to reach your pre-pregnancy weight after the baby is born and even to possibly loose more weight afterwards! Just be smart about the food you eat and remember to drink lots of water! Good luck to you!
