Feeding a 15 month old?

Hello Ladies,

My baby girl is just about 15 months.  We are a little concerned because she has always been slightly under weight, but she has not gained any weight over the last couple of months.  She is NOT a picky eater.  She loves whole milk and will eat almost anything.  She is currently eating a combination of baby jar food and table food. I am wondering if we need to cut out the baby food totally.

What do/did your babies eat at 15 months old? I will appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Kim

Our daughters both started eating all the things we ate, just after a year...

My twins ate table food at that age. Pretty much whatever we ate, they ate. We skipped purees and went with a "baby led weaning" aproach instead.

Does her doctor think she's underweight? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. Kids gain weight at their own pace.

i would cut it out... at this age there is no reason for it ( baring any type of medical issue with gag reflex or that type of stuff .) ... my son and daughter eat everything.... my daughter is 14 months old... today she ate

breakfast- 1 1/2 eggs... 1 peice of whole wheat toast with butter... 1/2 banana
lunch- 1 grilled chicken tenderloin.... 3/4 cup of green beans... 1/2 bisquit
snack- handful of goldfish

shes also had a cookie and some blue berries... i dont measure her food... the 3/4 cup is just an "eyeball" lol

she gets at least 16 oz of milk.. then 8 oz of poop juice aka apple juice... then 16 oz ish of water...

if shes fulling up on liquids she wont eat.. jaylyn is tiny also.. 19 lbs 29 inches at 12 mo check up... she might have gained a lb since then... i doubt it though

peanut butter is good.. high calorie and high protien... full fat butter... add a pedisure if your concerned.

Hi. At this age she does not need to be on baby food.. Just cut up whatever you are eating into very small pieces.
Also , she should be on full fat-dairy products. Whole milk, 4% cottage cheese, regular yogurt. ect until I believe two or three years old. Their brains need the extra fatty acids to develop properly. There is something called Pediasure that I used to give my daughter when she was going through her picky stages. I just told her it was chocolate milk and put it in her sippy cup.
Also, she may be filling up on milk or juice throughout the day before meals. Try limiting her intake before mealtimes so she eats more solid foods. But unless your pediatritian seems concerned, don't stress :)
