Hey ladies! I need some love and some much needed prayers going up today for my very best friend! I can't share on FB because she hasn't yet told everyone...We've been friends since 4th grade and she is 32 weeks 4 days preg with a little girl. She was admitted into the hospital 2 days ago due to bad swelling and high BP. They did an ultrasound and told her that they are concerned about the baby's growth and that she is only weighing approx 2lbs 8ozs right now. I'm beyond scared and nervous for her and I'm a wreck right now because I can't be at her side but my heart and thoughts are with her. I know you ladies are wonderful for prayers, so please keep her in your prayers today as they induce her for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl....thanks girls :)

i know how scary that is!

My twins were delivered at 30 wks due to pre-e. They were 2 1/2 lbs each and amazingly, despite being so small they had zero complications from being premature.

They spent 6 wks in the NICU before coming home, but today they're happy, healthy 2 yr olds and TALL for their age. You'd never guess they were premies.

Keeping your friend in my thoughts and prayers!

Awww best wishes to your friend. Are they going to give her steroids and try bed rest to see if the baby gets bigger 1st?
Hope all is well for her.

They are concerned because of the high spikes in bp she's having and they think that inducing her is the best option for the baby. They gave her 2 steriod shots to help with her lungs yesterday and told her 48hours to 2 weeks for delivery and then they told her this am that they were starting the induction because she's borderline for seizures. Thank you for the wishes!!

Ahh I see.
Heads up, Walmart has the cutest little preemie outfits for like $3.00 each, even less on the clearance racks :)

Praying for her.  You are a special friend for her.  Even though you can't be there I am sure she knows your heart is with her.

Prayers sent her way!

When pregnant with my son I had a growth ultrasound at 28 weeks and he was measuring small and I was admitted to the hospital.  I eneded up having him at 29w 6d and he weighed 2lbs 1oz.  I got the steriod shots and he was in the NICU for 2 months (only on breathing assistance for like 10 days and 90% of that was on nasal canula).  He is now a HEALTHY, happy and smart 3 year old.  I know it is scary and you can hear a million success stories but you will still worry.  They day they delivered him I called my friend how had a preemie and balled on the phone with her for over an hour.  It is very scary but I hope everything turns out great!
