PLease help.....
First of all... congrats on ur pg! 152 is a great weight for 17 wks. I know you lost a bunch since you got pg... but your labs are looking great and your doc is happy so far. It is a totaly mind screw... I get it. But keep breathing. You're doing fine! Doc keeps giving you the thumbs up. Just keep up on your vites, protein and carbs. Maybe talk to your nutritionist? And yes... the Ensure can help. About the dizziness... maybe make sure that you're getting enough iron. Ask your doc about the dizziness.
I was wondering, I had the GS done July 2010. I am almost to a year and lost a 158 pounds so far. My husband and I have been talking about having another baby. Our little girl is 2years old right now. How long should you wait after having surgery to consider getting prenant? I hope someone can answer this for me.
Congrats on a phenomenal weight loss in 1 year! Wowie! Most bari surgeons suggest waiting 18-24 months after WLS before TTC. And each surgeon and each patient is different. I strongly suggest that you speak to your bari surgeon about when he/she is comfortable with you starting to TTC. I would suggest waiting at least 6 more months until you start TTC.
Congrats!!! I had all these same issues. Just make sure that you keep hydrated, eat every 1.5-2 hours. Take fat free and some sugar free stuff out of your diet and add in the fattier stuff. You and baby need it!!! Very important. Keep snacks on hand, and water at all times, if you get a bit dizzy, drink or eat something with a bit of sugar in it or protein, it helps big time. Just listen to what your body needs. I lost 35lbs the first while with this pregnancy and have only gained 2lbs thus far. Dr says baby is taking what she needs. Good luck!!
I also had my sugery in 09 and I am almost 17 weeks pregnant (which was a total shock my daughter just turned 13!) I have been loosing as well but the Doctor has said anything my labs are good as well. I do weigh more than you though at 174 but I was wondering too How I could keep loosing and the baby be healthy! I also get dizzy when I get up too fast is really bad sometimes! Congrats on your pregnancy! Keep in touch!
