brand new pregnancy! super nervous

Good morning everyone!

I had my gastric bypass surgery back in March 2008. I just removed my IUD April 7th and had begun the process of talking and coming up with a plan of action with my husband and before we could really concrete anything down, I took a digital test (4 of them actually, lol) and found that I am already pregnant.

I figure I am about 4 or 5 weeks along, but my first doctors appointment is later today. It was so shocking to us because prior to surgery I had my daughter in November 2002 and we used no form of birth control and didn't get pregnant with my son until almost 4 1/2 years later. I have PCOS so I did not expect it to be this easy or fast. I am so blessed but I am super nervous and worried about what this pregnancy will hold.

With my first I had GD that was diet controlled, the second time around I had GD so bad it required daily insulin twice per day. I also had to have a c-section and risked his life because they had to take him early because he had grown so large too quickly. I am very worried about this baby.

We are hoping for twins this go round so that we can be done, but we will take anything as long as the baby is happy and healthy. I chose a doctor that won the best doctor in America for 2010, so I hope that I am in good hands

Any words of advice for those that have been through this already?

Thanks

Congrats on your surprise little miracle!  That's so exciting!  As far as the GD... remember... you are now a healthy woman after you RNY.  Just focus on being healthy and heck... that GD monster may just pass you by this time around!

Gald you found a great doc and I hope that you get along well with that doc.  Good luck and stick around!  This board is filled with loving supportive women.  We all get it!
Our little miracle baby boy is on his way!
