Some common terms:

TTC - trying to conceive
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
CD - the day of your menstrual cycle
O - ovulation
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - luteal phase (time from ovulation to period)
AF - aunt flow ( your period)
PG - pregnant/pregnancy
MC - misscarriage
RE - reproductive endocrinologist
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
CL - coverline ( for those taking their temps to confirm ovulation)
Met - metformin or glucophage ( a diabetes medication sometimes taken to help hormone levels and ovulation)
BD - baby dancing ( having timed intercourse)
DTD - doing the deed
IUI - inter uterine insemination
IVF - in vitro fertilization
PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome
POAS - pee on a stick (taking a pregnancy test)
2WW - two week wait...time from ovulation until you can test for pg

I miss some of the girls that use to frequent this message board, but don't post anymore. I wish I knew how they were doing and if they have had any luck getting pregnant!

Today is CD5... Started Clomid on CD3. So today will be day 3 of 100mg of clomid. First cycle after MC.

hey there,, add me to the list,, me and my husband have been trying for 12 months... i have had 1 IUI, 2 rounds of femara,, 1 round of chlomid,, this past month o' natural.. and now am scheduled for hernia repair and possibly internal scar tissue removal june 15th.. thanks for adding me :) sandy

I was planning on ditching my last NuvaRing next week, but I started spotting today, so looks like I am officially off of birth control as of tomorrow. NuvaRing's website says 6-12 weeks to become fertile after stopping the ring, so we'll start paying closer attention in late July/early August.

I've been lurking around this place for a while now, so glad to finally come out from hidding. I hit my 1 yr mark of post WLS a few days ago, and I'm soo ready to get this thing started, the chance to have a baby is one of the biggest reasons I had WLS and we had been trying for almost 5 or 6 yrs before I had my surgery. I know it won't be easy since we haven't used protection for quite a while now and no BFP yet. I just had a clomid challenge test last month and my levels seem to be ok from what I can tell. We are about to try IVF soon if we can't conceice on our own. I'm so glad that I am not alone in wanting a child after WLS and so many years before I ever thought WLS was even an option for me.
