I had a complete placental previa with my first- meaning not only was it low lying, but it was completely covering the opening to my cervix making a vaginal delivery not possible. As your uterus grows your placenta will shift with it and hopefully out if the way. When I went back for my follow up scan at 32 weeks it had moved and all was good!!! Just be careful- no heavy lifting and if you notice any spotting or bleeding call your OB or go to the hospital asap. I hope it moves for you!!!!!

I had placenta previa like Dawn. I was on modified bedrest until it corrected itself. Dawn had great advice. Hope it clears up!

I have a low lying placenta this time around. It was found at my 20 week u/s. I had another u/s at 30 weeks and it still hadn't moved. I know have another u/s at 36 weeks next week to check again. If it hasn't  moved I have to have a c-section at 39 weeks. Mine last was measured to only be about 1 cm away from the cervix so not completely blocking but awfully darn close. I havent experienced any bleeding at all but was told if I do to call immediately. I also have been on pelvic rest i.e. no sex. I hope both of our placentas move. They still are saying mine could have since the 30 week u/s so here is to wishing us both luck. I would rather not have a csection! HTH

I had marginal placenta previa at my 20 week ultrasound.  I had another ultrasound at 28 weeks and it was well out of the way.  In 80% of cases, it moves out of the way.  Don't worry about it...the odds are very good that it's going to move. :)

I was told the same thing at about the same time. At a later check up, it had moved up all on its own. Hopefully, you'll get the same result!

Honestly, sometimes I wish they wouldn't tell a person things like that. Makes ya worry when you may not need to!!

Best wishes,
Kina
