Introducing myself
Hi ya'll :) I'm Sandy,, I've been a lurker for a long while now . but since i check this site so often , i figured i'd better say hello and let ya know my little story. I'm what ya call a late bloomer.. met my husband at 32 and married at 33 :) He is my first real boyfriend, first real kiss, first real everything, my knight in shining armor, and my happily ever after :) I had a RNY about 4 years ago, and am so much healthier for it...gained some weight (shall we call it happy weight?) since we've been married,, but still so much healthier. I figured we'd enjoy our "honeymoon" for a year and then try to start our family,, figured i would be a fertile mertile,,, well, guess not. This is our 12th month of trying,, and since i'm actually 35 1/2 now, and i'd like a "gaggle" of kiddos,, i started seeing a fertility doc after 7 months. I have the eggies, he has the swimmies, but for some reason they aren't meeting.. I had an inguinal hernia surgery this past Sept. and my surgeon tried to go laparascopicaly but couldn't cause of the scar tissue in there( i'm thinking from my open RNY). He ended up doing an open repair.. Anyway, when i told my fertility doc that ...it was like an aha moment and she said maybe the fallopian tube is being held up by some scar tissue and can't go over to the ovary close enough to get the egg.. hmmm,, interesting.
soooooo, long story short, I know wierd, but,,, thank God i've got another hernia... this time an incisional one in my upper abdomen... why is this good? Because,,, my hernia surgeon also specializes in scar tissue removal and this time when he goes in,, he's planning on fixing me up and dealing with the scar tissue! yay! and double yay,, cause it's covered by insurance, since technically it's not fertility classified.. Will this help me get pregnant,, i hope so... i can't hang all my hopes on it,, but i'm hanging my hopes on the good Lord.. He told me i'd be getting my husband, long before i had him,, and he also said He would give me a family (how He achieves this, i'm open too) But He hasn't let me down and His word is true :)
Soooo, My surgery is June 15th.. My thing i think is so funny is that i'm ovulating today and wouldn't it be funny if i peed on a stick the 15th, and they said Bingo,, go home,no surgery for you,,, either way,, mission accomplished,, ha ha ha..
Here's sending baby dust and sticky beans to all those soon to be mommas :)

Yay! One of my OH stalkers! LOLOL
Love the happy camper idea! The wife asked me if I wanted to POAS this morning... I said "yeah... go out back and bring me a stick to pee on!" LOL We may POAS (the magic kind) tomorrow morning... as that would be 2 days before AF is due. But srsly... My BBT is continuing to stay high... like it went up a bit today. We are READY!!!
