I hit a weight I never wanted to be again :(

I am officially 200.8 lbs, I am 25 weeks pregnant.  I began the pregnancy at 178, which was post holiday and post honeymoon weight gain reflection of about 20 lbs up from my lowest weight of all time of 158.  I admit, I cried.  I never wanted to see 200 again, and here I am, 200.  Even though I know it is mainly baby, I just wish I could stay this weight until September but I know I can't.  Please tell me what to do to get over this mentally.  Also, how many protein grams should I eat a day?  I have never been compliant on my protein.  I bet I could maintain my weight better and allow the baby the nutrients to grow if I got my protein in.  I am just sad over this today....

I know how scary it is to gain baby weight and see the scale continue to go up.  Just remember that loosing the weight after the baby is born is obtainable!  I'm not saying it wont take hard work, but definately doable!  You might even find yourself droping the weight pretty quickly and lose more than you gained.  Although it wouldn't hurt to increase your protein, I wouldn't suggest you doing this to loose weight or prevent weight gain as that would't be healthy for the baby!  Carbs are important for the growth of the baby!  Remember to drink lots of water, which is good for both you and the baby and could help prevent excess weight gain!  Keep your chin up and remember this is for the baby!  You can focus and work hard to loose the weight once the baby is born!  Best of luck!

I can totally understand!  I'm 177 lbs now and we're TTC (well... we're POAS in 4 days.)  Anyway... when I got into Onederland I vowed NEVER to return there again.  And I am realizing that there is a chance (a very real chance) that I may go over 200 lbs during my pregnancy.  it sucks, it happens, and it's understandable.  Just try to remember that this is baby weight and that after you have your baby that you'll be able to drop the baby weight at a good pace.  This is for your baby.  Just focus on that.  **hugs**

prior to getting pregnant with my daughter i was 193 which was better than what my surgeon assumed I would do....

I delivered Claudia weighing 212lbs...  not to bad eh?  I actually dropped to 190-188 ish, about 3 weeks after her birth....  6 months or so later, I found myself steady around 197.  I am currently 212!  I was 207 last week!  Im only 17 weeks.... trust me, I feel your pain!!

When I saw the scale this morning, my first initial response was, ok, 5dpt....then i remembered, YOU CANT DO THAT!! and vowed to up the protein lay off the carbs a bit.....

baby doesnt agree... i crave meat and potatoes!! lol
