Very disappointed plus vent
I can so feel your disappointment and can totally relate to you! My 1st born was born 17 days early, but my 2nd child decided to come 9 days late.....I was soooo done with being pregnant and wanted to be induced. My midwife finally agreed to induce me on a Monday (11 days after my due date), but my body did it's work and I had her on Saturday night! My labor was pretty easy and she came very fast! Trust me, it's worth going on your own! I'm glad my 3rd was born 9 days early and I hope this one will come before the due date as well!
Getting your bloody show is a good sign and you might just have that baby before or even on the day that was scheduled! Keep us posted!

I am ready to get this party started! Hopefully when he does come (induction or otherwise) it is easy and fast like yours. I'll ask you like the others.. details on the bloody show! When did you notice it vs when you went into labor. I got kinda excited about it but then tempered my elation with the fact it might not mean anything at all.

Well with my 1st 2 chidren, my water broke before the bloody show and with my 3rd child I started having contractions before my bloody show. So I can't really help you out as to how long after did I start labor, but it sounds like you are soooo close! Hang in there, your baby will be here very soon!
Men should not speak for the last month. Period. Done. Not negotiable. My husband has learned this. He utters simple phrases including, "Would you like some more red meat?" "Can I rub your back, No sex, I promise!" "I'll go to Target for you and take the toddler so you can rest. What do you need?" THIS is what I want to hear. NOT - "THe baby will come when he is ready."
Anyway, ... that little nugget sounds like he's making moves on his own, and at the risk of you wanting to cyber punch me, I was induced at 42 weeks and I would NEVER do it again. It was rediculously long and painful, and I have no intention of inducing this time ... even if this nugget decides to stay 42 weeks as well. Now, I may have mo friends left, but whatever.
Hang in there, and rant away ... xo

YES!! Exactly!! All you guys are in the same boat more or less and can feel my pain. It doesn't vex me when someone pregnant says yeah I know it sucks but what can we do? But when all the guys in my life said the same useless thing to me I wanted to kick them.. or better yet shove a watermelon on their bladder/back/ect and tell them to walk around with it for 2 more weeks and be all blissful about it.
And 42 wks holy geez no thanks! You are braver than I am. My Dr said she would have induced me past next friday anyway so it is looking regardless how he is positioned it is a go for next wed morning. I just have to think of it as just one more week..or less maybe. (crossing fingers for the less)

Sorry to say, this one, I had my bloody show on a Saturday and went in to be "induced" the following Thursday. I was lucky though because all they had to do was break my water and my body did the rest. With the 2nd, I got my Bloody show and went into labor a few hours later. Although with this one, his head was NOT engaged either, but my labor from the time they broke my water to the time he was here was only 5 hours. So his head lodge very well on its own
I was induced with my first and it was by far the longest most excruciating labor of all 3! I actually almost had a heart attack! Literally had the cardiologist rushed in! The Dr's say that our bodies make pitocin, but in actuality it is not exactly the same thing, because it is synthetic. Waiting to let your body do it's thing is truly the best for you and your baby!
