Hello All,
I am 10 months out of RNY surgery...doing great...I have lost 130lbs.  I have about 30 more to goal weight.  I want to have a baby very badly.  My husband and I want to start trying to get pregnant.  Would it be too risky to start trying now?  I am not a year out yet, but no issues with food, all my levels are good...vitamins levels good..i feel GREAT.  Please let me know if any of you tried to or became pregnant before a year ut of surgery and how thins went.  Also any tips or advise would be great...

I suggest that you have a discussion about TTC with your bari surgeon.  Most bari surgeons suggest waiting 18-24 months post-op before TTC.  But each surgeon and each momma-to-be are all different.

and congrats on a phenom weight loss!

I suggest waiting until you're at least a year-18 months out as well...I tried at 10 months out thinking it would be fine because I was at goal and all my levels were great, no issues either..I did get pregnant right away but lost my baby at 8 wks because I just don't think my body was quite ready or healed enough to support a healthy pregnancy even though I thought otherwise...waited until I was 19 months out and got pregnant and now I'm almost 36 wks pregnant with a healthy baby boy...the wait is well worth it!
