Trip to the ER last night
Kerri,
I am so glad to hear that you and baby are both doing well. (seeing as how we are due around the same day lol) I think I would have broke down right then and there. You handled it much better than I would have!!!!!!!! I have had my own scare this week with a false positive for downs syndrome. This is my first pregnancy and the doc's office didn't bother telling me the stats on a false positive for this test when they gave me the option for taking the test. Soooooooo....... I cried all evening the day they called me and told me my blood work came back positive and I would have to get a special u/s. On the bright side I got to find out earlier than planned that my lo is a bouncing baby boy! I pray that you and your little one continue to stay healthy and safe!!

I have great faith in God, along with great family and friends that helped keep me calm and reassure me the baby was alright! Yes, I was worried and scared and didn't know what was causing the bleeding, but I also felt in my heart of hearts that the baby was going to be fine! I've had this feeling I will experience complications with this pregnancy....but also that it will be born healthy and everything will end up being fine. I sure hope this incident will be the last one and I will continue with an uncomplicated pregnancy!
That is very scary with the downs testing and them not informig you on the stats! We also had the screening and I was happy that it was negative and chances are very low! We have our antomony scan on June 6 to do the 2nd part of that screening and also to get the rest of the baby's stats and hopefully the sex of the baby! With my last 2 ultrasounds I was hoping they would take a look down there, but they didn't and I wasn't about to ask them as that wasn't the reason the baby was being looked at! I'm thinking they will check everything with another ultrasound when I go to my scheduled appointment on Tuesday and maybe they will look then!
Congrats on the baby boy and your 1st pregnancy! There is nothing like the excitement of your 1st born!

Thank you Linda! Hubby has been home to look after our littlest one all weekend and I've laid low. Little worried about the next day and a half until my appt on Tuesday on how it will go taking care of my little one at home.....with not lifting him in/out of his bed and the car to my appt on Tuesday....but we will manage! Take care of yourself too!
