wtf?? i don't understand!

 i don't get it. on the one hand i have women telling me i have to take copius amounts of folic acid and calcium per day then i have women saying i don't have to take anything.

of course like every other medical/nutritional thing there's tons of contradictions. sigh.....

Look are stressing too much about this situation. Feel lucky that you only have to pop a few pills a day instead of the dozen or so that I and a lot of other WLS patients will have to do for the rest of our lives.
One multi-yes. One folic acid-yes. One calcium-yes (but optional since you seem to be worried about taking "too many" pills. I don't know why you are taking extra iron unless your dr recommended it. Personally as a women I would be more concerned with taking calcium over iron. Especially if you plan to breastfeed and not want to rely on your offspring to cart you to the orthopedic dr at age 50.
So that's 3 pills. Maybe 4. Seriously, not a big deal.

my prenatal vitamins made me throw up(sorry for the t.m.i.) but i still took them most of the time. my son was still healthy but while i was pregnant i felt bad and ashamed and i was never proud that i didnt take them or threw them up.
p.s. i had my son b4 wls.
