Panni post baby

Okie girls. I am looking for some experiences from the ladies who already had a baby post WLS. I had a fair sized panni BEFORE i was pregnant. I had actually been planning on getting a tummy tuck this summer... not a baby. But hey that's life. ^.^ But as my preggo belly is getting bigger it is making me think what my panni will be like after my uterus is back in place and all that is left is that stretched out skin.

It really bothers me and it stops me from working out with certain exercises. I wont run because I can feel/see it flapping everywhere and you can hear it hitting other parts of my body. NOT attractive!

So tell me how much worse is it going to get after the baby? I am already planning on seeing some surgeons in a few months to see if I can get insurance to cover the panni and find out the difference for the tummy tuck part.

Mine is not a whole lot worse than it was. It is still stretched out, but it is going down a bit.

Thanks! I can hope mine wont be any worse as well. I am trying to save for a move so if I can put off the panni for abit it would be great.

I have to admit that mine has gotten substantially worse...I think a lot of it has to do with my having a c-section too tho. I didn't really have one before I had him, but now I most definitely have a section "pouch" below my belly button and will most def be getting a tummy tuck at some stage of the game. I hate it and I'm disgusted with it, but there isn't much I can do about it but work out and hope it retracts a little still. I'm only 11 weeks post op, so there's no way of knowing for sure, but I'm already starting my savings fund and hoping I can get it sooner rather than later..this was my first and last pregnancy because my tubes are now tied also, so I'm thinkin next year hopefully!!

Boo Hiss to it have gotten worse. I don't have plans for a C-section but you never know what is going to happen. I had one before. Not just a pouch either. It is from hip to hip and you can lift and everything. So not happy about it. I have measured with it and at the hip bones below it and it is a good 4" difference. I do plan on having more kids in the years to come but I'd rather need a revision or have a "normal" belly than this. I am not looking for super model perfect abs or anything. Just don't want to have to stuff my stomach into my pants.

Maybe next year we can be surgical buddies for the plastics.

I hear ya on the Boo hiss!! I so did NOT want a C either, but little Landen decided he was going to be posterior and would NOT come down past -2 station. Was rther depressing and tried for over 29 hours, but it just didn't happen...Waaaaa :(  Plastics buddies sounds like a great plan for me!! I am just hoping and praying I can get it done by a surgeon my mom has worked for for the last 15 years or so now. She's an RN and he will do the surgery for the cost of the anestesia (sp) and no fee from him. She had a breast lift and lipo done about 5 years ago so she's do for another great discount...he's one of the top surgeons in this area too, so my fingers are crossed.

I had before what I called a hangy stomach with a little muffin top, but the lower portion is no progressively worse than the top. The prices we pay to have these little buggers...LOL..wouldn't change it for the world tho :)

I told my OB that the only way I would allow a C-section, is if they gave me a tummy tuck too! LOL

They would not go for that!
