I think I am nesting cause I suddenly feel the urge to get everything in order.  I am 36 1/2 weeks along.

Anyway, I plan on breastfeeding and wanted to know your experiences with nursing pillows.

Are they worth getting?
If so, there are 2 different ones on amazon which one is better?

As always, thanks for your help.

I have both My Brest Friend and Boppy pillow and have been nursing for almost 2 years straight.

The Brest friend pillow is good when your baby is tiny and still learing to latch, it's easier to get them in proper position and really comfortable to wear (back support).

However, I LOVE the boppy pillow. It's much easier to use (no buckle to snap), takes up less room and can also be used to prop up your baby before they can sit on their own.

My 2 yr old twins even love to use my boppy as a neck pillow when napping on the couch or watching cartoon, so it's still getting a TON of use.

If I was only going to buy one, I'd go for the boppy (and buy several covers so you'll have extra while one is in the wash... they tend to get messy if your baby likes to spit up.)

I have a boppy and a boppy cover from pottery barn kids with his name monogrammed on it....

It is SO soft and cute! The cover fits any boppy insert, the insert can come from Target or anywhere else as they are all standard. It was a lifesaver after I had Blake. I don't think I could have held him to nurse after my csection. I also bought the infant support that goes with it at Target for $15. I never used it. Maybe because he was a bigger baby, but even with smaller babies you could just lift the pillow up a little higher on your waist.

I still use his boppy to sit him in.

A support pilow is a MUST while feeding and sitting with the baby otherwise your arms get sore and tired from holding their weight!  I used a nursing pillow (similar to a boppy) when my older 2 were babies.  My last one however I had a boppy and a My breast friend pillow and didn't use either.  I found my pillow on my couch and chair worked just as well and was more convient because they were already there when I sat down!

I have to be the only one in the world who the boppy never worked for..I thought the 1st pregnancy was because I was so big, but this time I am not and it still was useless to me. I do put the baby in there to hold her up a bit under her toys...

I love my Boppy too! It is my most used baby item! I use it more than the car seat and the swing!
