Wait, did you have RNY?  Because I had the understanding that we don't digest the gel pills (the ones with liquid inside or have the plastic coating (caplets?)).  I would check with your Bariatric Surgeon to make sure!  Capsules are good and I believe the solid prenatal would be good as well!  Also, have a full panel of blood taken to check all your levels......you may find, you don't need a prenatal vitamin.....that your current multi with some extra added vitamins might be enough (I take a complete multi, B-12, D3, calcuim citrate and folic acid every day, along with an iron supplement every other day)!

What surgery did you have?  As an RNYer, my understanding is that we don't do well with softgels because our system can't break down that outer shell.  I've been taking solid vits and my levels have been good so far...though I just had blood drawn again yesterday.
