Need advice on losing the weight after baby
Okay, Brynnleigh is 3 months and I have 10 pounds to lose to get back down to pre pregnancy weight. I thought I was ok with gaining some weight because I looked a little too skinny before I got pregnant, but I am so self conscious because I feel like a failure. I know I shouldn't feel like that but when I look at my bmi, I am considered overweight!! So now I am freaking out.
WE are about to move cross country, we are at Ft Bragg NC right now and we are about to drive to Ft. Richardson Ak, so about a 13 day drive. I know we will be eating out alot and I am wanting to know what I should eat to prevent weight gain!!! I don't want to gain anymore.

That's a hard one, but a few things I would try are; Make sure to bring a big drinking glass of water and fill it up regularly.....this will help with the water retention for sitting long periods in the car. Bring fresh fruits and veggies to snack on, along with some cheese sticks and nuts. Hopefully you can keep a cooler in your car with lots of ice to keep your things cold and carry the good for you goodies....along with lots of water bottles or gallons of water. When you stop to ea****ch your portion sizes and try to make smart choices.....Subway is a good and fast meal! One thing I enjoyed while I was trying to loose weight was the vanilla Designer Whey protein powder mixed with ice cold water and a packet of the Welch's orange flavored drink mix.......it tasted like a orange creamsical (spell?) You could also pack protein bars to snack on. These things will keep you satisfied longer and can subsitute a meal here and there! Oh and make sure you get out and stretch and walk around as much as possible! Good luck!
I got real tired of not losing the weight so I started eating very strict againI will tell you what has worked for me so far. I lost 6lbs in just 5 days by eating mostly all proteins. A little example of what I eat a day. I start with Greek yogurt for breakfast, peanut butter crackers for morning snack, can of tuna heated up with a little spaghetti sauce and cheese for flavor for lunch, salmon from Schwan's for afternoon snack and a chicken breast for dinner (no room for veggies). Each meal I am very full after and it is really hard for me to drink even after a half hour. I find it really hard this week to stay with this type of eating because we are at my daughters ice show which I am working all week and all they have is concession foods there! So I have the option of Hot dogs as my protein or nacho cheese! LOL
As far as the traveling, it is hard to tell you because everything that is high in protein , like the cheese and jerky packages, that does not have to be refrigerated is also very high in sodium to keep it preserved. So you are going to retain water from traveling but add that with high sodium foods, and you are going to see a weight gain, so don't forget to drink a LOT of water! Maybe the tuna pouches are a good idea too, but still a bit of sodium.
Hope it helps :-\
