Ok so I had my csection on April 2nd. The past week or so I have burning pain in the incision area. Not sure if its normal and part of the healing. Cant stretch thats for sure. Yet when I move a lot of times is a sharp pain but its like burning at the same time. Just wanted to see if any others with sections had any advise. lol

I know my incision burns from my TT revision I had a few weeks ago.  I was told it was probably the nerves healing.  Is the area that you are getting pain from warm or red?

no its not :) which is why I was not worried but my husband is freaking out. He is worried cause I still have to take care of Hayvann and lift her and do all the normal things I did before. No time to rest with 5 kids :)

I know what you mean, after I had the boys I had to still lift my daughter who was 25 months and  like 33 lbs at the time... the things we do, I never rested enough which is prob what my prob was... I use to be in so much pain by bed time I had to give in and take a pain pill...

Ok, so I've never had a section and can't give that type of advice, BUT, I am a physical therapist and I can tell you that burning/stinging pains often occur 2-4 weeks in the incision area due to the nerves "waking back up" so to speak.  It is normal.  As long as the incision is not draining pus like discharge, isn't really red, you don't see red streaks coming from the incision, and/or you don't have a fever.......you are most likely fine.  If you see any of those signs though, call your MD immediately because those are signs of infection.  Hope this helps!

Thank you it did. I did not think it was anything awful. I just told my husband I would ask. :)
