We have 3 boys and this will be our 4th. My husband chose his name and at first I liked it but I'm not sure anymore...What do you think

I'm not a fan of it. We have a local furniture store called Oskar Hueber and that's what it reminds me of- and yes it spelled the same way.

Does it coordinate with your other son's names?

Since you asked...I don't care for it.  I'm also not a fan of different spellings of common names because I just think it's going to be a pain in the neck for the kid their whole life having their name mispelled by everyone.

That's my .02!

Not a fan either but I'm not a fan of the name Oscar at all..it just reminds me of Oscar Myer weiners here in the U.S. and that would be something the child would get made fun of for.

Not a fan either.  Are you letting just your husband pick the name?  I dont get why people do that.  I think you both need to like it.

Well, I named our goldfish Oscar...and we like the name....for our fish.   For a baby name?  Not a big fan, either.

I love Oskar!  I grew up with a not-so-common name and I really like it .  It really makes you stand out from the crowd.  The only thing that got annoying was being asked if I was named after a Charlie's Angel. lol

My husband gets to pick our son's name because I absolutely will not negotiate on our daughter's name.  I could live with that decision. I know that if it's a boy the name will not be bibilical, trendy, or made up.  My husband said it will mean something.  I trust him.

I'm with the rest of the ladies on this one...not a huge fan either...I also immediately go to the thought of Oscar Meyer and I don't think I could give my little one that name for the fear of the harrassment he would more and likely face. I like to think we have lots of wonderful children out there, but I've been forced to face it- Kids these days can be downright cruel to other kids!!
