Yippy!
Hi Ladies!
I just found out today that I was accepted into the Masters of Social Work program that I applied for! I will start this September and its a 3 year program, part time. The first year I will attend school 1 Fri. and Sat. per month. The second and third years I will have all day long classes on Fridays and do a 20 hour per week practicum. The program allows me to continue to work as a social worker while I attend school. My goal is to try and get pregnant and give birth during the end of the first year or summer between the first and second year... if I can actually get pregnant when I try....
I am nervous about missing that window because it would be very challenging to work full time, attend school, and participate in an internship while pregnant! Yikes! Luckily though I will be interning through a different section of my employeer, so it shouldn't be too bad. Just 10 hour days instead of 8.
I am probably crazy for trying to "do it all" right now, but I really want to try it! I know there are other women who do! This program is a great opportunity that I don't feel like I can pass up!
Anyway, I am just excited and wanted to share my good news! Thanks for the support!

Congrats! When I got my letter of acceptance I waited three days to open it! (I was so nervous that they'de tell me no). I have to say that those were some of the hardest years of my life and I'm glad they're over! lol (I had a horrible practicum mentor who was also my boss) With that being said- I'm glad I did it! It was tough but I survived and I make almost twice what I did back then. With the right support you can do this!!! If you love your job it will be SO worth it when you're done!
Congrats again!!!
Congrats again!!!
