Shoulder pain? Pregnancy related?

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and since my 35th week mark I've been in severe pain. It seems to gets worse by the day. I'm really heavy in my lower abdomen, and I'm cramping horribly in my back and stomach. It started after my last weeks non stress test so I haven't been back to see the dr. yet I go tomorrow. I've been trying to hold off until my next appointment.  The weirdest part of all this is the worst of my pain is right in between my shoulder blades. It gets bad. It's not constant but when it strikes it doesn't let up for awhile. My husband even says I get a red spot on my back where it hurts so bad. Could this be pregnancy related or something else? It seems crazy I've heard of lower back pain and back labor but never upper back pain. I never expected to feel this uncomfortable with 3-4 weeks left, wondering if I'm gonna go early. Any ideas. Oh and why do I feel like I'm gonna thirst to death I could probaly drink a gallon a day? I've not been told I'm dehydrated but I do have low amniotic fluid wouldn't think that would be related who knows.
Thanxs, Amy

Do you still have your gallbladder?  Those were my symptoms with my gallbladder attacks.  I had mine out before being pregnant; but a good friend of mine had small attacks starting around 32 weeks and they were trying to get her to term and were going to do gallbladder surgery just after delivery.  At 36 weeks, she had a severe attack so they delivered her and did the surgery.  That may not be what you have, but it sure does sound like my symptoms!

I second that. Sounds like gallbladder issues. I would call your dr and see if they want to do an u/s to confirm. My surgeon told me he wants to do surgery about 3ish weeks after I deliever.

My gallbladder came out in 2002. Talked to my dr. today about it and he said some pregnant women have reffered pain? that can spread about anywhere in your back and sometimes your pregnancy posture is to blame. Did find out my amniotic fluid is lower again hoping I make it to my 39 week induction date otherwise my baby may spend some time in niccu letting her lungs mature. Praying for a miracle.
