7 weeks and 8 months and 11 days!!! (and a pic or 2- long)

Well, today my little sweetie is 7 weeks old and Mommy and Daddy are celebrating our 8 months of non smoking anniversary!! :)

I don't get the chance to get on as much as I used to, but Landen is such a wonderful addition! I think he just went through his 6-8 week growth spurt the last few days as his schedule went out the window, he was a bit fussy, he was spitting up a lot and wanted to eat, eat, eat and no sleep! Thankfully, last night he went back to his normal routine- asleep around 9:30, up between 1:30 and 2:30 for a full 4oz bottle, back down then up again around 5-6 for another 4oz bottle, then we had our wonderful morning BM and then its to the swing to fall asleep for our morning nap. I call him my serial cat napper and snacker during the day!

We're going to be moving in 11 days :O !!!! We were lucky and have found a new place to call home! This will be the first house we move into that has no work that we have to do. YAY! The whole house has been renovated with new flooring, new plumbnig, new paint, and a second bathroom was added on. It's a 2 story place with 3 bedrooms upstairs and the yard is terrific! It is a double size lot with nothing but fields across the street and up behind the house! We're all super excited to get on the road and start this new chapter! Did I mention it has a brand spankin new dishwasher and stove??!!! The first time in over 3 years I will have a working, functional dishwasher..oh ya!!

Hubby and I are celebrating 8 months of non smoking!! I'm so super duper proud of both us as it was a struggle, but we're doing wonderfully! I was afraid of relapsing after he was born, but I have seen the benefits and smell the difference :)  I've still got some weight to get off, but as soon as we get settled in the new place I'll be sure to get back into the swing of things- especially with summer vacation rearing its ugle head soon!!

Aww, Kerri, Landen is adorable and I can't believe it's already been 7 wks!! So happy that you found a new place and congrats on the no smoking...I quit before my RNY and never went back and so glad..I actually HATE the smell of smoke now and it drives me crazy..ya'll are doing an excellent job staying quit, keep up the good work and Landen is PRECIOUS!!!

Thank you! I can't believe it's been 7 weeks myself...it really does fly right by! I quit smoking before my surgery also, but my ex-husband refused to and it made it very difficult.  Thankfully, my husband and I did it with each other's support and even after everyone smoking outside tonight near us....we didn't cave! I honestly hate the smell too and I can tell a difference between a smoker and a non smoker now and that awes me!

Landen is so handsome! I bet he's so much fun! 

Congrats to you and your hubby for continuining to be smoke-free. I understand your struggle. I quit cold turkey 2 months before RNY (over 3 years ago now!!) and what a difference life is without cigarettes.

Ty Cathie! I tend to think he's a handsome little turkey too LOL  Congrats to you on the non smoking as well..its so super tough and I know I'm going home to a non smoking family other than my grandfather, who I'm hoping we can really turn around in all this!! :)

Landen's a beautiful baby - I'm glad that overall, he's a relatively easy baby too. 

Good luck on the move.  It can't be easy preparing for it with a baby to take care of too...so congrats to you for not letting the stress of it all send you back to your cigarettes.  LOL - If worse comes to worse, just remind yourself how much money you're saving by not smoking!  Don't count pack by pack, but carton by carton.  It adds up quicker.  Between the girls and Landen, as well as the improved health benefits for you and DH, you've got several reasons to stick with it. 

Holly..I had to post this for you...my bassett hound, Gracie just loves little Landen! Ty for ur kind words and wishes..I so remind myself about the money everyday...wonder how we ever afforded it!! We're def much healthier without it and I couldnt be happier :)

Very cute picture.  Gracie's probably going to be his protector, following him everywhere.  My son's cat is that way still - and my son's going to be 16 next week (the cat is 15).  Doesn't hurt that as he grows he'll be a snack machine for her, dropping crumbs etc for her to 'vacuum' up. 

That's exactly it! She was born 2 days before we got the BFP, so we kept her and she is in fact "his" puppy. She's already snacking off of him LOL She will warm up to him, lick his cheek or head so he spits out his paci and then she steals it and runs off with it. Or when I'm feeding him and I set him up to burp, she is notorious for getting a quick lick of his chin in there to take care of his droppings!! She's already taking care of him and cleaning him up hahaha!

LOL - Maybe you need to get Gracie her own pacifier, then she can lay down beside him and they can each suck on them.
