forgot how scary this can be

I'm 11 weeks along, and had some brown spotting with a little reddish blood last night.  Very small amounts... nothing this morning, and it is around the time my period would have been.  I had spotting almost daily with my son between 12 and 18 weeks or so. 

I'm sure it's nothing, and even if it was, nothing could be done.... But, It scared the heck out of me!!!!

Any words of wisdom or similar experiences would be appreciated...

I'm sorry. I know how scary that can be. If it starts up again or even if you *don't feel right*, please call your OB - peace of mind is priceless.

No experience in that area here, but just wanted to say I will be praying all is well!!

 I did have that a couple of times during the beginning, it can be normal after sex as well....If you feel any pain or it gets worse though, definately go to the doctor.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!!  I did have some funny pulling sensations so I went on in the the clinic today, everything is perfectly fine, thank God!!  Little one is doing ok, they said it was probably some old blood, or a sensitivity at the cervix.  The pulling sensations are probably from my growing uterus.

So, I feel a little silly for having gone, but like someone said, the peace of mind it gave me was well worth it!

I had it too! The statistic is 1 out of every four pregnancies, so it is very common. Doesn't make you feel better I know, but it happens quite a lot. I ended up with a sub-chorionic hemmorhage too- it was the scariest moment of my life to date. Everything turned out fine and my little guy is three months old and weighs almost 17lbs...not affected one bit by any of it! It gave a whole new meaning for the quote "For this child I have prayed".

Good luck! If you ever don't feel 100% about something visit the dr for peace of mind. Its sure beats worrying yourself over something that could really be nothing!
