I found your situation interesting and informative because you do have so many viewpoints and experiences in your family. Don't stop posting your opinions and expereinces ... I love reading all the different viewpoints because if nothing else, they are thought provoking. :-)

Well this thread certainly livened up things around here. It's amazing how many people keep quiet until they have something critical to say.
Cir****ision is a personal choice. No reason to attack others for it if that's what they want. I'm sure all of you have parenting beliefs that other's may not agree with. And the cosmetic surgery debate is ludacris....how many of you got your stomachs, boobs or butts altered after WLS? None of you complained about insurance picking up the tab then for an "un-needed medical procedure".
Just keeping it real, ladies :)

I totally agree with you re whether this is a cosmetic surgery debate.  You took the words right out of my finger tips re the plastics for post-WLS.

Sorry if I stirred things up with such a simple question. Not the responses I was looking for, but I guess it's something that needed to be debated....... lol

Not sure if this is helpful to you since I'm in Canada, but it's not covered under our healthcare and the doc I'm planning on using charges $150 in downtown Montreal, QC.

I was on the fence until a (vehemently anti-circ) woman posted on a message board how her son used to store mini M&Ms, CRAYONS and ewww, coins! in his foreskin.  That basically even convinced my intact, threatened to take me to court to prevent me circ'ing, husband.  I have the kind of luck that my little guy will store things that will end up making him sick up there.

I know I am alittle late on this.. But That totally sucks it isn't covered! They told me my insurance covered it and I kinda just thought.. well yeah.. why wouldn't they. I should have known better. Insurance is finding ways around everything.
