Our birth Story

As most of you know I have been having contractions since week 27 and was in the hospital for 3 days at week 30-31 for them to stop labor and was sent on home on meds to keep contractions spaced out about 10 minutes. lol
On April 1st which was my moms birthday I knew something was different. I felt different. I went to dinner with my parents and enjoyed that. That night I could not sleep but thought nothing of it since I have horrible insomnia anyway. I was up every 30 minutes going to the bathroom. At 515 am I got up and got myself ready. Got my 16 month old daughters diaper bag ready with cups and snacks and all. Got her clothes out for the day. My older kids were home and Hayvann was sleeping so we just let our 17 year old stay with her. I started timing contractions at 547 and I was having them every 3-4 minutes and boy were they strong. At 640 I sent a message to my husband on the 2nd floor to come down. He got down and was freaking out. I had to remind him to get our daughters carseat out for whoever it was we got to pick Hayvann up but we knew she sleeps till 930 or 10 so if it was a false alarm or they kept me to watch again he could come home. Got in at 715 or so. Got all hooked up and by then all of them knew my name. The doctor came in quick and asked what our birthing options were or kind of told us. Baby B never turned and was sideways and their fear was since they were being born at 33 weeks they could not easily turn her. So we said if we needed to a section was fine. The doc watched the contractions and said oh I know you are in active labor but let me check you then I will check again in 10 minutes. I said ok but have them start working on an IV cause I am a hard stick and it takes awhile for that. Had to remind them I was on heparin also. The nurse came in and tried about 10 times. Got one IV in but could not get the blood drawn they needed. As the sticks were going on the doctor came back in for our second check and did it and said oh yes we are in labor but we need to go to the OR for an emergency section. She had blood all over her hand. I was freaking out. So anestesia or however you spell it came in and did all the questions asked about blood draws and if they check my clotting. The doc said there was no time. They told me they would have to put me completely to sleep for the section.  The nurse was told they would get my second IV in while they had me in OR. She was determined to get another IV or the blood drawn so she tried 2 more times as the doctor came in the nurse lifts the sheet and shows the doctor something which I thought was my water breaking and when my husband and I asked they said dont worry about it we are going to OR now. So I rolled into Or at 902.
Kerstyn Jewel was born at 913 and weighed 5 pounds 1 ounce and was 18 inches long. Kinzy Grace was born at 914 and was 18 1/2 inches long. Both went to NICU right away. They both were on Cpap. Kerstyn went to oxygen about 4 hours later and Kinzy stayed on cpap a few more hours but Kinzy got off all the oxygen and all before her big sister. Apgars were 6 and 8. They stayed in for 8 days. They were born April 2nd and came home April 10th. Kerstyn weighs 4 pounds 9 ounces and Kinzy weighs 4 pounds 4 ounces. Kinzy had issues with losing weight and we had to get her on a high calorie formula. She also had to get phototherapy for jaundice. It was a hard few days but they are looking great.
I have lost 40 pounds so far. A lot fo that was water weight from all the Iv's from the times in the hospital. I am feeling weak and tired but I am getting there. Luckily my parents have kept my older daughter quite a bit so its been easier adjusting. My husband and I were going to the hospital every 3 hours for feedings for the girls. That was hard. But so worth it. :)
Here are my angels.
