I am a former Marine Corps wife myself so I know the everyday worries you already have. I know there are at least 6 of you I can remember off hand that are still active familiies right now.

I just wanted you to know I am praying every day, multiple times a day that you do not end up losing pay. It is beyond unjust! I know my saying this doesn't help but please know you aren't alone and there are civilians out there concerned and scared and hoping right along with you!

Yah I never thought there would be a day when my husband being in the Army that we would have to worry about a paycheck. He's been in almost 8 years and been to Iraq and there not sure if WE deserve a paycheck. Ha!! All I can do is give it to God and be happy we have savings

Werd.

I am horrified that you may have to sacrifice at the cost of a paycheck, this is sooo wrong on so many levels. Like you don't already sacrifice enough?!

I am so with you on this one!! As a 2 time Army wife...yes, my ex and current were both Army and both went to Iraq...I'm in an uproar and disgusted over this political hoopla our government is going through and to put the military personnel in direct fire....when do the boys and girls in Iraq and Afghan get to board planes and come home- all because they simply arent getting paid???? UGH!!! Nothing seems to amaze me anymore!

But, I am also with you in the sending of prayers that they straighten this BS out and realizes where our country's importance lies!

Thank you guys...I am trying not to freak over the situation but it is really hard when you sign on to facebook and this all that everyone is talking about.  Our LES is already showing as if the government has shut down and we are only making half of a 2 week check!! It is terrifying but I am not going to worry about it no more.  I am praying, and I know God will get us through it!!

That is awesome of you to think of us :)

There is a woman who is on my fb and she is a military wife and she just joined the military herself and she had the nerve to post "you(military spouses) are not the one in the military so you shouldnt be complaining or stressing"... Oh the freaking nerve of the statement. My husband is in the army and has been deployed 3x. He has missed my son's birth, 1st and 2nd birthday also so I think it is crap to mess with my husband's pay. Anyone who knows anyone in the military knows that this is not a 9-5 day job then you go home. your job in the military is your life, pretty much. Now we arent stressing the money because I work a full time job also, but who wants to work w/o getting paid? no one does and most military families have only one income and are living paycheck to paycheck, and some are barely making it that way.

Thanks for your concerns and prayers, it means a lot
