I just want to SLEEP- 6 weeks pp!
So, I was curious...anyone know any tricks to help get more sleep? I'm not awake because the baby is up, but he wakes me around 1-2am for his only night time feeding and is back asleep within an hour, but I find myself WIDE awake after and going back to sleep is tough. I've done this for about the last 3-4 nights now and I feel like I'm OVER tired and getting warn out QUICKLY! Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I'm starting to think that a lot of my insomnia has to do with our upcoming move and all my stress and worries over it all, but I seriously need to figure something out because I'm dragging and naps during the day are getting much more infrequent as well :( On a happier note, my 6 week pp visit went wonderfully! I've been cleared to do everything (including "IT" hehehe) and I've in fact lost 27lbs and have 10 to go to pre preggo weight but about 30 more on top of that to be back where I want to be!
TIA and I hope everyone has a terrific weekend!!! :)

I'm thinking that may be the route I have to go Jessica. I do know that when we get up to PA, I'm sending Landen with his grandma (I hate to say it but I think she is the one and only person I would be totally 100% comfortable with keeping him overnight right now) and I'm going home and taking some Tylenol PM and going to try like crazy to get a much needed 8 hours of sleep. I love my husband and he's the best dad, but I know the way he sleeps and he could sleep through a tornado (Literally) or fall asleep sitting up- like he says- 2 tours in Iraq will do that to a person!!
Thanks chica- and so happy to hear you guys won't have to be worrying anymore over this whole government closing down issue...I did get to hear quite a bit about that on the night time news last night!

I have the same problem, I have been taking benadryl a few times to get to sleep. just one tablet and it doesn't make me groggy in the morning.

Be careful with the Antihistamines (Benadryl - aka: "PM") for sleep as they can work for a few weeks then start having the opposite affect. Ughh! Who wants their sleep aid jackin' em up? Been there, done that, not me!
Good luck!

Are you turning lights on and getting out of bed? I put everything I need on my bedstand at night before I go to sleep. Jovon's bassinet is next to my bed and I have a VERY dim lamp in the room. ( Just enough light to mix his formula). I have NO problem getting back to sleep after his feeding.
I WAS getting up and going to the kitchen and once I turned the lights on I was UP. Hopefully this works for you if you arent already doing this.
Good Luck!
