Congrats on the pregnancy!  We share the same due date!  It's natural to feel scared about gaining weight and not being able to re-lose it.  Many woman continue to lose weight, some gain none to very little and some gain more than they would like.  Make sure you contact your bari surgeon and see what they suggest as far as food and vitamins go.  There are MANY women on this board that got pregnant before the recommended 12-18 months and could give you better advice!  Take care!

Congrats and welcome.  I hope the rest of your pregnancy is happy and healthy.

Regarding weight gain - From what I've seen, the previous poster is exactly right.  The most important thing to remind yourself of when you look in the mirror is you're not fat...you're pregnant.  You wouldn't make snide comments to a pregnant friend...so be your best friend and don't get upset or think bad about yourself.

Hope to see you around more often.

congrats and welcome.. i think we are all scared to gain weight... however its a fact of pregnancy... you can do things to prevent the massive weight gain... eat healthy although no one will beat you up for a "treat" .. make sure you are eating carbs.... you can do it :) good luck

Hi and welcome, we all worry about our weight when pregnant - you will gain weight - it's what we are meant to do. It will also come off post baby x remember, we have our "tool" for life. As for getting huge, you won't.
As of last week, (I am 28 weeks pregnant) I had put on 15lbs only - my OB told me simply that I need to eat more for my last trimester.Which is exactly what I am doing. - eating when I don't feel hungry, drinking high calorie milky drinks - essentially I am doing what I need to for a health baby.
This board is so great and supportive, keep in touch on here and post any questions you want.

Good luck and most importantly _ Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!!

Very best wishes to you!  I have the same fears as you... (about getting huge again) .  I think if you remember the basics and keep focused things will stay under good control.  Is this your first pregnancy??
