Hi there! I am 32 weeks also and in the same boat. I was labor and delivery last week for nearly constant contractions.

Did they do a fetal fibronectin test on you? The test that predicts if you will go into labor within 2 weeks/? My doc said that it was at least 95% accurate.

The monitors picked up contractions regularly, but they were small and constant. They also were not changing my cervix.

They said I had an irritable uterus, and that I would continue to contract - sometimes even having 6 or more contractions in an hour.

But they said - the test said no labor for 2 weeks - so they were not worried.

Then I'll around 34 weeks - and they said they don't do much to stop labor at 34 weeks.

They say that I will KNOW the difference when real labor comes. I hope so. It kind of scares me I won't know the difference after all this.

I have another child but I was induced, so I've never gone into labor on my own.

They did not do that test.  Dr. checked my cervix and it was still closed so I am assuming she did not feel it was necessary?  Keep me posted on your progress, we are close in dates.  Good luck.

I have read about dehydration causing BH, but never imagined it could be do bad - unless my pain tolerance is that low, which will not be a good thing when the time to have baby comes.
