twins short cervix and cervical cerclage and 22 weeks Monday

I have been in the hospital they rushed me right in from my doctors apt.I have very two healthy baby girls very active everything great then to find out I need a cerlage done.I was told sometimes they hold some times they don't.In three days I went from a 1.22 to a .69.Docotrs let me go home on very st ricked bed rest then yesterday had to go back due to leaking fluid Amniotic fluid game back positive so they did sonogram and everything looked great once again doctor said it could because what they use to clean me leaking out and cause a positive test.The doctors want me to make it to at least 28 weeks but 30 plus would be better.My babies do weight 1 pound 1 ounce so they will be able to help them anything under one pound they cant do anything for.I have hope I will go to 30 these girls are strong and so is their mommy.

My twins were born at 30 wks. They spent 6 wks in the NICU and have no lasting effects from being premature.

They just turned two and are 37 in tall, 30 lbs, incredibly smart and healthy, you'd never guess they were 2 1/2 lbs at birth.

I was on bedrest from 20 wks to 30 wks and it SUCKED. I highly reccomend Netflix and finding a new hobby- I taught myself to crochet. lol

Good luck to you and your girls! A close friend of mine had a cerlage done not long ago and it kept her little boy baking to full term. You have a great attitude!

I need to have a great attitude about it and think positive....it took us six years to get pregnant I don't want to lose these babies they already mean so much to carry 21 weeks already is along time for anything to happen.I'm scared wont lie but I have to stay strong and not stress......thank you!

24 weeks is viable.. anything after that is a plus... good luck to you!

Your right but my doctor said even if I only make it to 23 chance arent to different from 23 to 24.If a baby weights under a pound 500 g then then there is nothing they can do even if they were 26 weeks and under a pound.They measured my babies yesterday and both were one pound one ounce he said there is hope because of their weight and because they are girls.Girls do better then boys to.Something with all the equipment and their weight I guess babies under that pound mark cant handle it.

In that said Im staying strong and going 28 plus I know it!

Relax..put your feet up...drink something with a little umbrella in it. You will make it. We are all sending happy thoughts your way. And fatten those little girls up ^.^ any extra weight will be a bonus! Only a couple more weeks to go.
