This is my second child, I had my VSG in 2007 and got pregnant with my first son in 2008.   With my frist I didn't gain anything and after he was born lost like 30 more lbs.  With this pregnancy I gained 38lbs!  My son is 5 weeks today, I lost 25lbs the first two weeks and now I'm just stalled.  It's driving me crazy.  I could exercise more and wathc what I eat but I have a toddler and a newborn my time and energy are already kinda maxed out.  Anyone else out there stall for a long while then start losing again post partum?

I feel like I'm never going to get this weight off.  I know it's not that much but at my size/weight it is.

Thanks,
Lauren

I held on to about 10lbs of my pregnancy weight and then gained another 10 more before I finally decided to do something about it.  At that time, my youngest was about 1.5 years old and I began to really watch what I ate, started reducing and eventually giving up diet caffiene free pop (but now drinking again), increasing my water and supplementing breakfast with protein shakes.  I then added exercise and more protein shakes to get back to my pre pregnancy weight.  After a trip to Czech Republic I started slacking into my old habits but maintained my  weight within 5-7 pounds and now I'm expecting my 2nd baby post op.

I know this isn't much help, but for now, I would watch your portion sizes, increase your water and go back to the basics as much as possible.....meaning protein 1st.  Best of luck to you!
